Facebook is working on developing its own technology to track copyrighted and it will be part of a larger licensing plan. Major labels pressed social network to remove user-uploaded videos copyrighted and licensed music shared by them. But sources familiar with the situation say that the deal between labels and Facebook, will not be finalized until at least the spring of 2017.
In an interview with the Financial Times sources say that Facebook creates a system that is close beside ID technology on YouTube. The system of copyright does not seem to be designed to erase the content, but rather it detects and tracks as part of the deal. Sources indicated that record companies want to split revenue from advertising on Facebook by copyright content. We expect the formal completion of the deal in 2017.
