However, Bench.Life states that have not changed deadlines for placing on the first working samples, which should happen on 22nd week (May 29th - June 4th). Most likely this is due to the fact that the company wants to show their products already in the Computex exhibition, which will be held this year from May 30 to June 3.
It is known that Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X are designed to work with the platform Intel X299 "Basin Falls", using socket LGA2066 (Socket R4), in both cases there is no integrated graphics. Skylake-X may comprise up to 10 nuclei, but Kaby Lake-X - up to 4 nuclei. Some journalists already connected moving the premiere date of Intel X299 with rumors about the release of high-performance AMD platform, which will offer enthusiasts 16-core processors. However, AMD has not officially confirmed the existence of chipsets X399 / X390.
