Three eight-generation core processor families will be available on the market on Oct. 5. Intel announced eighth-generation Core processors for desktop computers.
The new chips will become available for purchases from October 5, according to official information from the company. There are three Core families codenamed Coffee Lake - i3, i5 and i7. The list includes the first Core i5 6-core model, as well as the Core 4 Core 4 core. At the same time, Intel introduced a new Z370 chipset. The company identifies new eighth-generation Core models as the best gaming processors. It is claimed that they provide a 25% increase in gaming frequency compared to Seventh Core processors, some of which come with an unlocked clock multiplier (with K). The new processors have up to 40 PCIe 3.0 lines. The top Intel Core i7-8700K runs at a clock speed of up to 4.7GHz (with only one core active). Core sales from the eighth generation start on Oct. 5.
