HP has refurbished the Spectre thin line notebook with eighth-generation Intel Core processors. The HP Spectre 13 and HP Specter x360 models offer longer battery life, even better displays and premium design. The second-generation Spectre 13 is currently the thinnest touchscreen in the world, HP said. The notebook has a 4K display and an enhanced audio system, in addition to the quad-core Intel Core. The HP Specter x360 Hybrid offers the world's most durable battery and increased security thanks to the privacy screen option.
Made of CNC aluminum and carbon fiber, the HP Spectre 13 comes in two colors - white, with pale gold polished accents, and dark silver with copper accents, complete with a microframe and Corning Gorilla Glass NBT high resolution display up to 4K. The speakers are located above the keyboard with full backlight for clearer and more distinctive sound and convenient writing. The notebook relies on the new eighth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, offering up to 1TB of PCIe SSD content storage and fast task execution with up to 16GB of LPDDR3 memory simultaneously. The battery provides up to 11.5 hours of autonomous operation and is charged from zero to 50% in 30 minutes with HP Fast Charge technology.
The updated HP Spectre x360 turns laptop-to-tablet, delivering quad-core performance, battery life up to 16.5 hours, and a new integrated privacy screen. With a sculpted CNC aluminum body and underlined edges, the notebook is available in natural silver, dark silver with copper accents and a limited series in pale-pink. The 13-inch microframe and Corning Gorilla Glass NBT security glass maintains a resolution of up to 4K. This notebook is slim and powerful thanks to the new Intel Core i5 and i73 processors, up to 16GB LPDDR3 memory and 1TB PCIe SSD options. The security features include a fingerprint reader, side-by-side for easy access, enhanced security with an integrated HP Sure View for Full HD7 (natural silver version only) that eliminates visual hacking with just one quick key press, and HP Wide Version FHD IR Face Detection Logic Camera.
The model is accompanied by a Windows Ink Certified pen for a more natural feel when drawing, writing and touching. The ball point pen is sensitive to touch for accurate ink distribution in each mode. Below it is an integrated USB-C rechargeable battery which, with 15 seconds of charging, gives the user up to 198 minutes of use time. The HP Spectre 13 laptop will be available in Europe in November 2017 with a starting price of € 1599. The HP Spectre x360 also comes out in November with a starting price of € 1299
