Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL - flags with impressive camera and screen

The two Google smartphones come with Android 8.0 Oreo, a voice assistant and an enhanced camera. The two new Google Pixel smartphones are already here. The regular Pixel 2 has a 5-inch OLED screen and its larger Pixel 2 XL comes with a 6-inch display. Google positions high-end Android Oreo devices as competitors of the Apple iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the LG V30, it became clear at the US premiere tonight.

On the one hand, Pixel 2 does not take into account some current trends in smartphones and on the other is exactly on the wave crest. For example, the two new models do not have super-thin frames and dual cameras, but they are waterproof, squeezable and without the traditional headphone jack just like other flags in the market. Here is, of course, the Google Assistant voice assistant. Pixel 2 is the first smartphone with Google Lens - a camera feature introduced in May this year. It is the camera that is the most important feature of the new "pixels," which is a key factor in the multi-user purchase decision.

Google hopes to achieve the best smartphone with portrait enhancements and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), overtaking two-camera lenses, offering the same quality with only one. The difference between Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is basically the size. Both models have high resolution and pixel density - 1920 × 1080 pixels for the 5-inch model and 2880 × 440 for the 6-inch, respectively 441 ppi and 538 ppi, 16: 9 and 18: 9 ratios. The small model weighs 143 grams and the big one 175 grams.
Pixel 2 and 2 XL are critical to Google. As the second-generation Pixel family, these devices can concrew Google as a smartphone market player. It's no accident that Google has signed a $ 1.1 billion deal with HTC to attract talent to Pixel's development. Pre-orders for both smartphones start on October 4 in the US and UK and October 20 in Australia. The Pixel 2 will be available in three colors - blue, black and white, and XL 2 in black and black and white. The Pixel 2 market will appear on October 19th - the Verizon Operator Network in the US and the Google Store, Project Fi, and Best Buy.

Pixel 2 costs $ 649 with 64GB of memory and $ 749 in a 128GB version, and Pixel 2 XL prices are $ 849 (64GB) and $ 949 (128GB) respectively. On pre-order, Google offers a special package with a free Google Home Mini device in some countries.
