China's Xiaomi smartphone maker is following an upward trend. In September, the company set a new record in its history, selling 10 million smartphones. Xiaomi Chief Executive Officer Lee Jun has greeted all company employees with the new record, Gizchina.com reported.
China's branded smartphone sales exceed 10 million units in September, and this year is the most successful Xiaomi history. In 2015, the company reported sales of 70 million units, but in the following year its business shrank to 58 million smartphones. In the first nine months of 2017, Xiaomi launched 63 million smartphones on the market, and traditionally the strongest quarter, the fourth quarter, has just begun. Xiaomi's sales volume plan this year has not been publicly announced. However, the company's goal for 2018 is known, and it is overcoming the 100 million smartphone limit. If the pace of September is maintained, Xiaomi will overtake the plan.
